Gamecenter is a scam. DON'T USE IT!
They rip you off for the next season automatically then won't let you cancel your subscription or get a refund without "speaking with a manager" who is always off-site and NEVER calls back. The only reason I got back the money they stole from me is because I called back 15 times and harassed them until they caved.

Guys, I can't get a decent stream still, Derek has attempted to help me but I have not heard back for some time.

He said this to me:
The issue may be due to the fact that the live and archive video is re-distributed over a content delivery network (CDN) which has multiple origin points throughout the world, whereas the adaptive video (which is what you are watching on the same day after the game) is not re-distributed in like manner.

Hopefully I get some resolution...I have had to use other means to watch hockey even when I am paying premium prices for gamecenter.

I agree ... the neulion adaptive plug in really tanks the picture quality and performance even though I exceed the min requirements easily.

I'll try Derek as well. Hopefully he is of help.

@Chris, I've never had to deal with customer service so I can't comment on that. As for the download speeds I'm not sure how the NHL distributes their content so if it's streaming directly from the states that could explain why I get good speed in Costa Rica and you don't in New Zealand.

@Dave I've never had any issues with blackouts, even though my billing address is in Calgary they must filter based on IP. I've watched almost every Flames game this year, include Flames PPV, and not had an issue. As for Canucks games, well there's plenty there. You can watch most games and I'm pretty sure you can watch every game with a Canadian team. As for speed, you may have the same problems streaming as Chris mentioned above as you're in Australia.

Hi Jason,

I am Dave and I live in Australia. I need to watch NHL games but I am wary of NHL Gamecenter because of all the problems I've read on other posts.

Does living in a foreign country like Costa Rica (you lucky guy) allow you to watch all games without a blackout?

How about Canucks games, do they play often?

Thanks in advance, cheers, Dave

I have no clue how you rated gamecenter so well.

Customer service is horrible, streaming speeds are horrible. I hope they straighten it out because I really want to support the package....but I feel they just don't care that I am paying good money for poor service.

I have a good speed connection (I'm also an applications developer and I work for my ISP) and I still can't watch games with the Adaptive plug in. I can watch them in the archive & live, however trying to watch a game within 48 hours of it playing just plainly does not work. It will stream for 10 seconds buffer for 5 minutes in a viscous cycle.

Customer service has only replied to my email once out of at least 5-10 emails over the last two years.

Living in New Zealand I want to watch games when I get home from work, the reason I bought this package.....however I just simply can't.

NHLcom please fix your issues....
